Greenlake and Sewer park

The day after we had the little ER trip, I met up with Kim and Heidi at the lake where they live. We walked around the lake and then let the kids play at the playground. It was a gorgeous day to be outside and Max did great considering that the day before he was drugged up with medicine.
I used to make fun of these bikes because I just thought they were weird because they had no pedals and I just didnt think that would be fun. But then Max got on Skye's bike and he had so much fun. It took him some time to get use to it, but he was slowly getting it. I think I might have to get him one.

After Greenlake, Paul and I decided to have a picnic down at Sewer Park because it was such a nice day. There were so many people just enjoying the sunshine. It was such a great day with the sun shinny of the water. It was gorgeous. I love Seattle when it is nice and sunny. It is so pretty. I just wish that there was more sunshine and less clouds.

Flight Museum and then ER visit

A couple of weeks ago, Max and I were able to visit the flight museum with Eirik and Skye. Max had a blast looking at all the airplanes. Every where we looked he would say airplane, airplane, airplane. He was so excited to see all the different kinds of airplanes. Some were small and some were very big. In the museum there was a kid area which Max loved because he was able to sit in an airplane and helicopter which was very cool.

After the museum we went to Max's doctor appointment which later turned into an ER visit instead. Max had a bug bite, I think it was at least and well it was disgusting and not pretty and he would not let anyone touch it. I took him to the doctors and later found out that it was infected and that I needed to take him to the ER right away before it got worst. So we went to Seattle Children's hospital and they all thought it was MRSA. They had to put him under and make a little cut inside his leg to get all the infection out. It was scary to see him all drugged up, but he was a trooper. He did not cry once. He never cried when they put the IV or took blood. All the nurses loved him. The whole thing took about 5 hours. Once the medicine started wearing off we were able to go home. Max couldn't walk straight, so I had to hold his hand or either carry him the rest of the day. I did find out later that it was not MRSA which the doctors were very surprised, but it was a very bad staff infection. Anyways, he is doing great and his leg has healed very well.

5 years and Counting

Five years ago on the 4th, was one of the happiest days of my life. It was the day that Paul and I were sealed together at the Oakland Temple for all time and eternity. I still can't believe we have been married for 5 years. It has gone by so fast. In these past 5 years we have done a lot together. We went on the best honeymoon, graduated college at the same time, moved to Arizona, had Max, traveled to California many times, had Chloe, moved to Washington, celebrated many holidays, made lots of memories, got in a couple of arguments and yes, I always win and most importantly we have loved and enjoyed each other. I have loved every minute of being married. I cannot image my life without Paul. He is such a great husband and father. I am so grateful for everything he does for our family. I love him with all my heart and I am so blessed that he is my husband and the father of my children.

Zoo

On Chloe's actually birthday we decided to make a trip to the zoo. Dana and Zoe came along and it was so much fun. It is amazing how kids can never get sick of the zoo. They always have so much fun including myself. It was a perfect day.Chloe is officially 1 years old. She was so good. She sat in the stroller pretty much the whole time eating and looking at the animals.

This was the first time ever that I have seen a bear swimming in the water. It was a little scary having just the glass between you and this huge bear. I have never been this close to a bear before. It was so cool to see.

Max loves seeing the hippos, but I don't know why because all they do is sleep. But I think it is because he loves to say hippo and it was one of his first words regarding an animal.

Chloe 1 years old

Yesterday Chloe turned 1 years old. I can't believe that she is 1 already. This past year has gone by so fast. I still remember the day that she was born. It was 10:50 in the morning when I heard a weird sound and to my surprise Chloe was born without even a push.Chloe Beverly Veirs

Chloe is such a great little girl. She is a very easy child. The only time she really cries is when she is hungry, tired or when Max takes a toy away from her. People always tell me that she is always smiling and happy whenever they see her. Chloe is just a very happy little girl. She is very active and very loud especially for her size. She loves to crawl every where. I don't think she will ever walk because she knows that she can crawl just as fast. She loves her big brother so much. She loves to play, laugh and even wrestle with Max.

Chloe's 1st B-day Party

This past Saturday we celebrated Chloe's first birthday. We went over to Granddad's and Mimi's house to celebrate. We made our own little pizzas, went swimming, had a pinata, ate cake and opened presents. It was a lot of fun and it was fun celebrating with family.
Max has gotten so comfortable and good at swimming in the pool.

I did decorate outside for the party even though you can't really tell

Happy Birthday Chloe!
Skye and Max making their own pizzas

Even though Chloe couldn't hit the pinata, we had to have one anyways. They are so much fun and Max and Skye had fun hitting it.

I made the same cake that I made for Max's 1st birthday. I gave Chloe the bottom cake and the boys/adults had the cupcakes.

I wanted the classic picture of the child eating their birthday cake and getting it all over their face. I tried it with Max, but he would not even touch his cake and Chloe just screamed when she touched it. I don't know what it is but they don't like to eat cake with their hands. One of these times I am going to get the classic birthday picture. I might just have to wait until they are 5 or 6 to get it.Happy Birthday Chloe!

4th of July

We spent our first 4th of July in Seattle. It was a great day for Seattle. In the morning we went down to the lake to kayak and play at the little beach that they have down there. Then we went swimming and had a BBQ over at Granddad's and Mimi's house. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. We didn't make it to the fireworks because the kids were so tired from a fun and exciting day.
