6 year Anniversary

On August 4th, Paul and I celebrated our 6 year Anniversary.  I can't believe Paul and I have been married for 6 years now.  These 6 years have gone by way too fast. This year for our Anniversary we were determined to do something fun before this little one arrives.  Heidi and Eirik volunteered to watch our kids for the weekend which was so nice of them to do.  So we decided to drive to Vancouver for the weekend.  This was the perfect little getaway.  It was outside of Washington so it felt like a real vacation but we were only 3 hours away from the kids just in case something happened.  I have only left Max for a weekend and I have never been away from Chloe so I was a little nervous.  I had no idea how they were going to do, but of course they did great and they had so much fun.  Heidi and Eirik kept them busy so I don't think they really noticed that we were gone.  I would have to say that it was so nice to be away from my kids and actually spend time with Paul.  I love my kids a lot, but it was nice to actually be able to talk to each other and eat a meal without rushing.
While we were there we did all the tourist things.  We walked around a lot so by the end of the day I was tired.  It would have been a lot more fun if I wasn't 32 weeks pregnant, but there wasn't much I could do about that.

For our Anniversary dinner, we decided to treat ourselves to this Japenese BBQ place.  They bring all the food to you and you cook it at your table.  We would never be able to do this with kids so it was a treat.  And let me say this food was amazing.  The meat was so good

I know this is a lovely picture.  But there was a gelato place across the street from our hotel which was so good, so every night we ended up getting gelato before going back to our hotel.

Thanks again to Heidi and Eirik for watching our 2 crazy children for the weekend.

Thank you Paul for being the best husband any wife could ask for.  You have made these past 6 years the best years of my life and I can't wait for more to come.  I love you

Montana

About 2 weeks ago, we decided to make a trip to Montana.  My dad has a house there and the last time we have been there was about 4 years ago, so this trip was very over due.  The kids had a blast while we were there.  They rode the boat down the river, went fishing, played in the water, went on a water slide, rode bikes and rode the ATVs.  All in all it was a fantastic trip.  The kids did well and I survived while being 7 months pregnant.

Going down the river in the boat while looking for fish.

First ride on the ATVs and the kids did great and loved them.  We went on them everyday.

I love this picture.  Max relaxing by the pool

Max went down this water slide all by himself.  We were shocked, but he did it.  When he came out he had a scared look on his face, but then once he was in the pool he was so happy he did it by himself.  He is such a big boy.

Chloe is 2 years old!!!!

Happy Birthday Chloe!

Chloe is 2 years old!  I can't believe that she is 2 already.  It has gone by way too fast.  Yesterday Chloe had her 2 year check up and she is finally on the charts for weight. We are very excited about that.  She is only in the 5th%, but still she is on the charts which she has never been.  She weighs 23 pounds and she is at the 5th% for height at 32 inches.  Even though Chloe is small, she is full of energy.  She is one very loud little girl.  You would never guess that such a small little person could make so much noise.
Chloe loves.....
dogs, milk, rice, swimming, growling at people, playing with her brother, brushing her hair, loves when I do her hair, animals especially dogs, playing in the sand, and loves teasing Max.
For Chloe's b-day we made cookies while I was babysitting Mira and then went swimming.  We had pasta for dinner which she loves, then cake and presents.  It was a low key b-day celebration because we were leaving for Montana the next day, so we decided to do a family celebration there instead.

The kids had so much fun decorating the cookies.  I think Chloe finally discovered frosting by decorating these cookies.

Happy Birthday Chloe!  We love you and thank you for being our little girl.

This picture is from a while ago, but I thought it was cute.  The kids got free cupcakes to decorate while we were at the mall.

Balance Bike

My kids are very spoiled since we have lived here in Seattle.  As a little thank you for watching my little niece while her daycare was closed, Kim and Adil surprised my kids with a balance bike as a little thank you gift.  Wow, they love that bike.  They are learning how to take turns, but they have so much fun riding it.

Chloe was throwing a tantrum in the middle of the street because she wanted her turn on the bike.

Thank you Kim and Adil for the bike.  That was a big thank you gift, but I would have to say the kids love it.

More zoo pictures

One of the activities that we do a lot is go to the zoo.  The kids love it and it is an easy activity to do with 2 or more kids.  Here are a few cute pictures from the last time we went to the zoo which was with Babs at the end of June.

Paul's B-day

So I am a horrible wife.  I decided to go to Danville over Father's day and Paul's birthday.  It was the only time that worked for both my mom and myself.  But we did celebrate both occasions, but not on the exact days.  We celebrate Father's Day the Sunday before.  I made him breakfast, dinner and the kids got him a little present to go with it.  Then for his b-day we sent him a birthday package and then celebrated when we got back.

Happy Birthday Paul and sorry the kids and I were gone over Father's Day and your Birthday.  We Love you!
