January

The month of January was a some what exciting month, I guess.  We had Lyla's baby blessing, Max's birthday and Lyla's 4 month check up.  We had to spend a lot of time indoors because of the rain, but we try to make the best of it.

Chloe makes me laugh.  She is so sweet, funny and stubborn all at the same time.

Chloe's favorite toys right now are dinosaurs.  She loves them.  She carries them around everywhere with her.  She has to bring them in the car, in the store, they have to be right next to her while she is eating, and she also has to sleep with them.  If they don't go everywhere with her then she has a total meltdown.  Yes, she is a little bit of a drama queen.

The mall by us has these rides for quarter so we are there a lot especially when it rains and I need to get the kids out of the us.

After being in the house over and over because of the rain, the kids have found new ways to have fun.

I can't believe that Lyla is 4 months old.  I know I say this a lot but wow the time has gone by fast.  At 4 months she weighs 12 pounds and is 24 1/2 inches tall.  Lyla is such a great little baby.  She is so easy going.  She can sleep anywhere and sleeps through anything at times.  She loves being on her tummy for the most part.  She can scoot like a champ when she is on her tummy.  She can hold her head up and she loves to talk.

Lyla is also really into Max and Chloe right now.  She loves watching them and seeing what they are doing.  Max and Chloe love to make Lyla laugh.  They will do and try anything to make her laugh.  Here are 2 videos of just that.

Max's Birthday Party

We decided to celebrate Max's birthday with the family on the Saturday after his birthday.  He loved it because he got to celebrate his birthday twice which means he got 2 cakes and 2 groups of presents.  This year Max was very spoiled, but I guess it is ok because he has been so good.

We decided to have a little celebration at Granddad's and Mimi's house  where we did a little art craft, had pizza, ate cake and opened presents.

I asked Max what he wanted for dinner and he said pizza so we decided to make our own little pizzas again.  This is so easy and the kids love it becasue they can put anything they want on the pizza.

All Max wanted to do was open his presents.  I told him he had to wait until after dinner, but he opened them before cake.  Thank you for everyone that got Max a birthday present.  He is truly a spoiled and loved little boy.

Max wanted a chocolate birthday cake so I decided to make him a sheet cake because he loves it and the adults love it also.  So it turned out perfect.

Max's 4th Birthday

I can't believe that Max is 4 years old.  He is growing up way to fast.  We had Max's 4 year check up and he is 35 pounds, 40 inches tall and very healthy.  He got a couple of shots while we were there and he did not make one sound.  He was so brave and so good.  The doctor said that he was her best patient.  I was so proud of him.  We are so blessed to have him in our family.  He is such a good kid and such a great big brother.  Some of the things that max likes right now is to ride his bike, play outside, play baseball with daddy, play hide in seek, loves his cars, dinosaurs, loves school, and loves to play with Chloe.

On his birthday we woke up and had cinnamon rolls and apple juice for breakfast.

Then he went to school on his birthday.  They gave him a crown and he passed out lolly pops to everyone in his class.  Then after school we went out to lunch with daddy.  We decided to go to Burger King because Max loves hamburgers and french fries and so the kids could play in the playgound that they have.  The kids had so much fun playing.  It was a perfect place to go on a rainy day.

Then when Paul came home we had pasta for dinner which is Max's favorite and then we opened presents and had cake.  All in all, I think Max had a good birthday.

Happy Birthday Max!!!  We love you so much and thank you for being such a great kid and such a great big brother.  Happy 4th Birthday!

Lyla's Baby Blessing

On January 6th, we had Lyla's baby blessing.  Of course it was a wonderful day and Paul did a fantastic job.  Thank you to all of our friends and family who attended and participated.  We are so blessed to be surrounded by people who love us and support us.
This was a special blessing for us because it was the first blessing out of our kids that all the Seattle gang could attend.  It is so nice to be surrounded by family especially with special days like these.

I am so blessed to have 3 wonderful children.  They truly are my everything and I don't know what I would  do without them.  I am so lucky to be their mother

Max and Chloe love their baby sister.  They are so good to her.

Riding Bikes

On New Years Day we decided to spend the day outside because it was sunny for a change.  For Christmas Max got a new bike.  We decided not to put the training wheels on and see if he could ride without them.  Let me start of by saying that I am so proud of him.  He was able to ride his bike right away.  The first day he had trouble starting, so we would have to give him a little push.  Then when we took him to the park he was able to start all by himself.  He doesn't need any help.  I am so proud of him.  Let me say that the balance bikes really do work.  He rode the balance bike for not even a year and he was able to go straight into a big bike with no training wheels.  So proud of him!

Now that Max got a new bike, Chloe is using the balance bike.  It took her some time to get use to it, but now she does great with it.

Max can ride all by himself

While the kids were riding their bikes, Lyla was snuggled into her carseat and staying warm.

Christmas Morning

This Christmas was a lot of fun.  The kids are at the age that they love to unwrap presents and they really don't care what they get.  The only thing they care about is unwrapping it.  This year Max was the spoiled one because he got a new bike which he rides very well and he rides without any training wheels.  I am so proud of him.

After we opened presents at our house, we headed of to Granddad's and Mimi's house to have breakfast, open more presents and to spend time with the family.  Of course the kids had a lot of fun opening more presents.  They are so spoiled, but I would have to say that I love spoiling them because I love seeing their face when they open a present.

Visiting Santa

On Christmas Eve, Santa came for a little visit while we were at Granddad's and Mimi's house.  The kids went for a little walk to the treasure box and when they came back, Santa was sitting in the living room with a big bag filled with presents.  The kids were very excited to see Santa especially when Santa gave them presents to unwrap.
