Honduras- Beach and hotel

One little trip that we decided to do towards then end was drive to this little beach town and spend the night.  I am so glad that we did this because it was so relaxing and the kids had so much fun.  We never once played at the beach while we were there.  We looked at it and took pictures on our way to dinner, but never spent time there even though our hotel was on the beach.  The hotel that we stayed at was so much fun.  It was perfect for the kids.  They had a kids section where the water was low and it had kids slides.  They also had a section with a big slide.  Max had so much fun going down the slides especially the big one.  The best part was that it wasn't crowded at all so we could go down the slide as much as we wanted.  I don't know what it is, but sitting by the pool in the sun makes me so happy.  I was happy.  My kids were happy.  It was just a perfect little side trip.

I love my kids.  They are the best!

Honduras was a great trip and I am so glad that we went and that we brought our 2 kids with us.  It was so good seeing Paul's parents, spending time with them and hearing more about their missionary experiences.

Honduras- The Ruins

This was a very interesting day trip.  It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there which would have been fine because my kids usually do well in the car.  The only problem was that the last hour was very windy, so both kids throw up.  It was actually Chloe's first time getting sick, so it totally freaked her out.  We had to pull over clean the car seats, change them and clean the car.  Then after they got sick they were just not their normal selves.  They didn't feel like do anything until they were able to run around and play in the dirt.  Then the heat got to them and they were tired, but we still were able to see everything we wanted to see with Paul carrying one and I carrying the other.

Every night the kids would play with their Leap Pads and fall asleep watching some kind of show.  I really don't know what we would have done without them,  This is what they played with on the airplane for most of the time.

Honduras- Animal Zoo

One of Max's favorite part about the trip is when we went to alligator farm.  Here we were able to see lots of alligators, lions, jaguar, birds, and some other animals.  It was the first time and probably the last time that we will ever be so close to a lion, jaguar, and alligators.  It was very cool to be that close, but I will amit that I was a little scared at the same time.

Honduras Part 1

About a week ago, we got back from a week long trip to Honduras.  Right now Paul's parents are mission presidents in the San Pedro Sula Mission.  It was so good to see them and spend time with them.  They have been gone for almost 2 years.  Paul's dad had never met Chloe before except seeing her on Skype.  The kids had so much fun spending time with their Grandparents.  Max kept calling Grandpa, "Papa" and he still does it and I don't know where he got it from.
Every day while we were there, we did something fun.  The first day we were there, we went to see the waterfall.  It was so pretty and so green.

The kids fell asleep on the way there so they were not too happy when we first got there.

We went down to get closer to the waterfall where you can get a little wet.  Max loved getting a little wet, but Chloe didn't.  The only problem going to that spot is that on the way back you had to hike up and it was stairs the whole way.  Paul would carry Max and I would carry Chloe until Chloe decided to try to climb up these big stairs by herself. Every single time she would climb up a stair she would make a grunting sound because it took all her strength to pull herself up.

There was a spot that the kids could have gone swimming, but instead they throw rocks in the water which they could have done for hours.

We ended the day at the pool.  I think we ended each day by going swimming at the pool.  It was so nice that they had a pool where they lived.  It was so refreshing to go in it every day especially after sweating all day.  Even though it was in the 90s and humid, it did feel so good to sweat and feel hot.  We havn't felt hot in a long time, so it was nice.
