Grammy Babs

Everyone thought that I was going to have Chloe early even the doctors. Paul decided to go to Utah at the end of June to go see his parents at the MTC and I really didn't want to be home by myself. I had a doctors appointment before he left and I was dilated to a 3, so I ask my mom to come out a couple of weeks early just in case something happend. But of course nothing happened and I went past my due date. My mom ended up being in hot Arizona for about 3 1/2 weeks. Two of those weeks were just waiting around for Chloe to arrive. My mom was a trooper. She doesn't like the heat at all and while she was here the weather was any where around 105 to 115 degrees. I don't think that she ever really got use to it. She was defiantly ready to leave and get out of the hot weather. Even though she was miserable from the heat, she was a big help. She cooked, clean, played with Max, and hung out with me. Max had so much fun hanging out with his Grammy. She played outside, took him on walks, played at the water park and took him places. He was defiantly sad when she left because he could no longer play in her purse and there was no one to play with him 24/7. Mom, thank you so much for all your help and for coming out early. I really appreciated it and enjoyed the company.

Here are some random pictures:
My mom gave Max his first bath and now Chloe's. Max also pee on my mom while she gave him a bath and Chloe pooped on her while she was giving her a bath. My mom has great timing.

Max had a lot of fun watching Grammy give his sister a bath

Things are a lot different now with 2 kids, but I love everything about it

I love this picture. We were trying to teach Max to smile when we would take a picture of him. He thought that is was a lot of fun.

Chloe Veirs

On Monday the 12 at 1:00 in the morning, we went to the hospital to get induced. When I got to the hospital I was dilated to a 4, so they waited to give me pitosin until 3:30am. They thought once I had the pitosin, I would go pretty fast. At 3:30am they started me on pitosin, but very slowly. At 9:00am, I was dilated to a 6, so they broke my water and gave me the epidural. After about an hour, I started feeling some pain so they gave more medicine and turned me to my other side. The pain went away, but I kept feeling her kicking my ribs which was a little painful. Then all of a sudden I heard this sound like a "gushy" sound, so I screamed at Paul to wake up and to look under my sheet to make sure that everything was ok. Paul lifted up the sheet to check on everything and there was her head and shoulders just laying there. Paul screamed for the nurse to come in and everyone comes rushing in and the nurse pulls the rest of her body out. I did not have to do one push for her to come out. The doctor came in about 3 minutes after everything happened and said that was the easiest delivery he has ever had. But let me just say, that when everyone was taking care of the baby and me, I was laying in bed in shock. I couldn't believe that she was out of me and I didn't do anything. It was a crazy experience.

Anyways, Chloe Beverly Veirs was born on July 12, 2010 at 10:50am. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 19 inches long. She is so tiny and very cute. Max is doing pretty well with her. He loves to give her kisses and give her blanket to her. It is a lot of fun to have her in our family. It is a lot different changing a girl's diaper, but I do like to dress her.

Max meeting Chloe for the very first time

She is so much smaller than Max was in this car seat.

Max is and looks so much bigger than her and he is on the small size for his age

Thank you for all the calls and comments posted. Chloe is healthy and we are both doing well.

Splash Park

I decided that I needed to do a post all about Max before this baby comes which is any day now. Max will be 18 months this Saturday which I cannot believe. He is too little to be a big brother, but he will be a great one. These last couple of weeks, I have been trying to spend a lot more time with him because once this baby comes it won't be just him and me anymore. I love spending time with him. He makes me laugh at all the things he says and does. Here is a list all about him:
-he carries around not one blanket, but 3
-he says "ball" to everything that is round like a watermelon and my pregnant belly
-he loves loves the movie Shrek 2
- he loves ketchup. He will eat anything if it has ketchup on it
-he doesn't sleep in his toddler bed, but instead he sleeps on the floor right next to the door on top of toys and books
-he loves the water
-he gives my tummy a kiss when we say "kiss the baby"
-loves to jump, dance, and spin in circles
-loves his juice cup and hates any kind of milk. Trust me I have tried to give him every kind of milk and in every kind of way and he still hates milk.-whenever he sees a dog, he will chase after it.
-loves bubbles, but what kid doesn't
-he is just a happy little boy. The only time he really cries is when he is hungry, thirsty, tired or in pain from his teeth. We are very lucky parents to have him as our child. Now I am a little scared that his sister will be completely opposite from him because I don't know if it is possible to have two angels right in a row.

One little fun thing we did the other day is that we went to the splash park. Let me just say that Max had a lot of fun and was very sad to leave. He has been before, but this was really the first time that he played in the water and got very wet.

He tried to step on the water coming out and now he does the same thing with the water in the tub.

Max loves these things. I don't know what they are called maybe "the spring rocker," but anyways he loves them.

He loved swinging with his daddy
