Paul's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday Paul!!! On Wednesday Paul turned 28. For his birthday, my mom watched the kids while we went to the temple and then went out to lunch. I forget how nice it is to eat without the kids around. I actually got to enjoy my meal. Then on Saturday, we celebrated Paul's birthday with the family. It was a lot of fun. We went swimming, ate some Mexican food, had a pinata, and had some cake.

Max loves loves cake. Actually he only eats the frosting but that is the best part.

I love Max's eyes in the picture

Bab's Visit

We got home from Cali on Tuesday and my mom came on Thursday. It was a little crazy, but it was a lot of fun to have her here. We went to the zoo, shopping, went out to lunch, got our toes down and hung out. It was really nice to have her here and the kids had so much fun with her. We only took a couple pictures and they were from the zoo.

Laguna Beach

When we were in Southern California, we made a trip to Laguna. We always have to go to the beach while we are in Cali. We miss the beach so much and the kids love it. It was a perfect day while we were there. The best part while we were there was when the tide came in, the water kept coming up to where we were sitting and Max kept freaking out because the water kept getting the blankets wet. I don't know what it was but he would just freak out every time the water would get the blankets and towels wet. It was really funny to watch.

Disneyland

Last week we went to Southern California. We decided to go last minute so we could meet Paul's brothers soon to be fiance. We are so glad that we made the trip. We had a lot of fun and it was so nice to get a way. While we were there we decided to spend the money and go to Disneyland for the day. I am so glad that we did because Max had so much fun. Yes, he had a hard time waiting in line for the rides, but he loved seeing all the characters. He did get a little scared in some of the rides when they were all dark, but his favorite ride was the tea cups. I do miss having our season passes to Disneyland. Maybe someday we will be back in Cali.

Beach Day

About 2 weeks or so, we had one of the best days ever so far. It was sunny and in the low 70s. Yes, it is sad that the low 70s is nice, but now living in Seattle 70s are very nice. Anyways, some friends and I decided to head to the beach and it was so much fun. The kids were able to be in their swimsuits and play in the sand.

Best Friends

Max finally has a buddy to play with. My sister Heidi just moved here with her family from Boston. Her little boy, Skye is just 2 months younger than Max. Last week I spent every day at my dad's house, so Max and Skye could play together. They had so much fun together. I have never seen Max play with anyone like he played with Skye. They played in the dirt, ran around the pool, went swimming, went to the park and just played together. They never fought with each other. They learned how to share the bike, cars, and animals. It was so much fun seeing them play together. I am so happy that Max has a cousin to play with all the time. Here are some pictures of them playing together, but of course I could never get them to smile at me. They were just having too much fun playing.

Easter

This year we celebrated our first Easter in Seattle. On Saturday it was sunny and on Easter Sunday it was a little raining, but that is the weather here in Seattle. In the morning the kids went down stairs to find their Easter baskets on the table. Max was so excited on what he found. Then after we went to church, we went over to Granddad's and Mimi's house for a late brunch. We had lots of deliciuos food of course and then after we ate we had an Easter egg hunt while it wasn't raining. Max had a lot of fun finding all the eggs especially because he was the only kid this year, but next year he will have Skye, Chloe, and baby joining in on all the fun. Thanks for everyone for making it a special and fun Easter for Max.

I made the mistake of leaving Max downstairs with his Easter basket while I was getting ready for church. I found him with everything out of his basket, candy everywhere, chocolate unwrapped and his mouth full.

Get ready set go!
