Christmas Morning

This Christmas was a lot of fun.  The kids are at the age that they love to unwrap presents and they really don't care what they get.  The only thing they care about is unwrapping it.  This year Max was the spoiled one because he got a new bike which he rides very well and he rides without any training wheels.  I am so proud of him.

After we opened presents at our house, we headed of to Granddad's and Mimi's house to have breakfast, open more presents and to spend time with the family.  Of course the kids had a lot of fun opening more presents.  They are so spoiled, but I would have to say that I love spoiling them because I love seeing their face when they open a present.

Visiting Santa

On Christmas Eve, Santa came for a little visit while we were at Granddad's and Mimi's house.  The kids went for a little walk to the treasure box and when they came back, Santa was sitting in the living room with a big bag filled with presents.  The kids were very excited to see Santa especially when Santa gave them presents to unwrap.

Pre-Christmas celebration

Before Christmas we did a lot of fun things to get in the holiday spirit.  One day we went to downtown Seattle to take pictures with Santa, ride the carousel, see the gingerbread houses, and the teddy bear room.  It was a lot of fun even if it did rain a little bit.  It really got me in the Christmas spirit.

The gingerbread houses were amazing.  They all did different Disney themes to it.

Ward Christmas Party

This year for our ward chrismtas party we had a big breakfast.  People were their pjs including us.  We ate lots of great food and the kids were able to see Santa.  Max went right u to Santa and told him he wanted a truck for Chritmas.  Chloe on the other hand wanted nothing to do with him.  She wouldn't even sit on his lap or even talk to him.  It was pretty funny to watch her with him.

Even though it wasn't the best picture of all three of them at least I have one.

Snowflake Lane

We finally were able to make it to Snowflake Lane.  Last year we tried, but we were stuck in traffic and never made it in time.  This year we decided to go earlier in December before it got to crowded.  The kids loved seeing all the different characters, marching band and of course the snow.

Christmas Tree

Growing up, we always got our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving and we always cut it down.  This year we did just that even if it was raining a little bit.  Actually the rain made it so it wasn't crowded at all so their was no line to see Santa which was a plus for Max.

The girls took the kids on a little hay ride which the kids of course loved.

After we got our Christmas tree, we went inside their little shop to warm up by the fire, eat some cookies and of course see Santa.  Max went right up to Santa and told him that he wanted trucks for Christmas.  Chloe was the complete opposite of what Max didn.  She did not want anything to do with Santa.  All she wanted to do was eat her sprinkle christmas tree cookie.  After we warmed up, we went out to lunch and got hamburgers, french fires and milk shakes.  All in all, we had a great time .

Family Pictures

We are so bad about taking family pictures.  I don't know why we never take them, but we do.  So I decided this had to change once Lyla was born.  I decided to purchase a groupon for a photo shoot at Sears.  I knew that it wasn't going to be my dream for family pictures, but it was cheap and it's a start.  They took a lot of pictures of us, but we could only get one picture on a Cd and it was the picture of the kids.  But the groupon also included a couple 8X10 and 11X14 so now I have family pictures to family hang in my house.  I forget how much kids change over the years, so my goal for next year is to be better about capturing those changes.
