Zoo

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the zoo with Zoe and Granddad. I love the Seattle Zoo. It is such a great zoo and it is the perfect size. Max always has so much fun at the zoo. He loves seeing all the different kinds of animals.

Backyard Fun

The main reason why we rented the house that we did is for the backyard. It was the only house that we could find in our small budget with a good size backyard. Even though the house it just ok, the backyard makes up for it. It is nothing special, but it is a place for Max to run around.

One day we decided to take Max's ride along toy to the top of the hill and he would ride down on it. Now it is his favorite thing to do. When he goes down the hill he gets this big smile on his face and when he reaches the bottom he just starts laughing. It is really funny to watch him.

Snow Day

About a week ago, it snowed a lot. Max has never really seen snow before so we decided to bundle him up and have some fun in our backyard. We went sledding down our little hill, throw snowballs at daddy, and built a snowman. It was a lot of fun. I felt bad for him because I haven't bought any snow pants or shoes for him, so It think he was a little cold but he was having too much fun to care.

We took the slide off of the playground that we have and use it has a sled. It worked perfect.

We didn't have anything really to use for the face so I used celery, but it didn't really work that well.

This is what our hill looked like when we were done. Max's favorite part was going sledding of course. It was the perfect 45 minutes and now I don't have to take him to the mountains to play in the snow. He was able to play right in our backyard.

The flu, cold and teething

I feel like ever since we have moved here which was in January, both of my kids have been sick. I don't know what is going on, but they both have been sick for about 2 months now. Max has had the flu and the really bad cold. Chloe has had just the really bad cold and she is teething on top of that. We have had a couple of night where both of them don't sleep at all during the night because something hurts them. I feel so bad for both of them. I hate to see them in so much pain. So the last 2 weeks or so we have not really left our house. Every single time we go somewhere one of them gets worst, so I decided that we were going to stay inside and wait for this stupid cold to leave. Now Max is almost better and Chloe is on her way. Here are a few pictures of the kids.

Chloe 6 months

Things have been very crazy around here for the last month, so right now I am trying to play catch up on my blog. Well last month Chloe turned 6 months on January 12. Right before we left Arizona, I had her 6 month check up and she weighed 13 1/2 pounds and was 25 inches long. It was our first doctors appointment in a very long time, but the doctor said everything looks great. The doctor said that I could start her on solids because now she is a pooping machine. She had her first cereal which she liked for about 2 days and now she hates it.
Chloe is a very happy little girl. She can entertain herself very easily, loves to talk, loves her big brother, is still very small, and loves to be held. She is a great baby until it is time for her to eat baby food and to go to sleep. Right now I can't get her to eat any kind of baby food which I never had this problem with Max. We are still trying to get a night time routine down. Chloe is a horrible sleeper. She did fine when we lived in Az, but when we moved into temporary housing everything changed. Now she wakes up about every 2 to 3 hours screaming and she will not stop screaming until I hold her and it has to be me. Paul will try to calm her down, but she wants her mommy. As soon as I take her she stops crying and goes right to sleep. Her problem is that she loves to be held and not laying down in her crib. But even though some nights are rough, I still love her.

After doing the cereal we moved to veggies. Once again Chloe liked them for about 2 days and now it's a total struggle to get anything in her mouth that is on a spoon.
A couple of weeks ago, Chloe started to crawl. She is very slow, but at least she can get around own her own. Max loves that she moves around a lot more and starting to play with him.


Chloe also has learned how to sit up on her own. I think the day that she learned how to crawl was the day that she also starting sitting. Now I can't believe she is already 7 months old. She is growing up way to fast.

Max turns 2

Happy Birthday Max. On Monday the 10th, Max turned 2 years old. I can't believe that I have a 2 year old. Where has the time gone. I still think of him as my little baby, but now he is a big boy. He is 2 now. That is just so crazy to me. Well, on Sunday we decided to celebrate his b-day at my dad's and I am so glad that we did because on Monday he got very sick. Anyways, it was so nice because I did not have to do a single thing for max's b-day. My sisters did everything. They got all the decorations, the food, the cake and they decorated the house. It was a perfect little party. Max had so much fun being in the spot light, making is own pizza, eating cake and getting presents. Thank you all for taking care of his b-day party. It was a perfect party.

-loves to jump, jump and jump
-he is really good at playing on our itouch which is a little scary
-he learns very fast

New Years in Rancho

After we got back from Seattle, we decided to drive to Rancho and see Paul's family for New Years. It was a lot of fun to see everyone, but also a little weird not to have Paul's parents there. They were missed very much. On New Years we played games, ate and hung out with everyone. Paul was a little mad that he couldn't play soccer with everyone, but he hurt his back really bad when we had to move some things, but hopefully next time he will be able to play.
