Danville Trip

This past weekend Paul and I went to Danville to see my brother in law and my sister because he finally got a visa to come to the US. I haven't seen him since there wedding which was three years ago and Paul has never met him. It was so good to see him and see them together. It was also Max's first trip to Danville and first airplane ride. He did very well with everything.

We had a lot of fun while we were there. We first were able to meet up with some of our friends that we have not seen for a while. It is always so good to see friends and catch up with everyone.
On Saturday, we all went to San Francisco to have a picnic lunch, but it was interrupted with rain. Then we walked around Per 39 which was a lot of fun, but it was very cold. We are both use to Arizona weather now.
Then Max was able to meet his two cousins for the very first time. He met Carter and Will who are both 3 months older then him.On Monday I got to hang out with my mom, Liz, Martha and Will. We drove to Napa, had lunch and walked around. It was so good to see Liz and her little boy. The last time that I saw him was in October and he has grown so much since then

Blessing

On March 1, we blessed Max here in Arizona. Paul did his first baby blessing and he did a great job. It was so much fun because we had all of Paul's family come up from Rancho Cucamonga and my mom came also from Danville. On Friday is when everyone arrived and we all went out to dinner and had some Bahama Bucks. For the ones that don't know what Bahama Bucks is, it is a great place that has amazing shaved ice. Whenever people come visit we always take them there.

Then on Saturday we had a BBQ and people swam and played volleyball. Then at night we went to this cowboy town and of the kids absouluty loved. Then Sunday was the blessing and then we had everyone over for lunch in our very small apartment. I think we had about 16 adults and 10 kids. It was crazy in our little two bedroom apartment, but lots of fun. It was so good to see everyone and so much fun. Thanks for everyone that came. Max is very loved.

Paul ridind the bull at the cowboy town. It was so funny to watch him do it. He acutally hurt his thumb by doing it.

Everyone after the baby blessing

Dana and Zoe with Max Yes there is snow in Arizona. We drove to Sedona which is 2 hours from Phoenix and it was amazing to see all the red rocks especially with snow on them.

The Botanical Gardens had this glass show that was there and it was amazing to see.
Max finally had his first day of church about 2 weeks ago.

1 Month Old

Today Max is a month old and had is one month check up. He is 9 pounds 12 ounces and 22 inches long. Every day it seems like he does something new. He loves to kick his legs and arms. He loves to eat and look around at things in the room. He has been such a great blessing in our lives. I can't believe that he is already a month old. Where has the time gone.

Max loves to make all different kinds of faces especially when he has to go potty.Max had his first bottle and he took it like a champ. Paul loved feeding him because he got some one on one time with his son.One of our friends has a 5 month old girl and they came over to see Max for the first time. Max looked so little compared to her. It was actually really funny to put them next to each other because she just towers over him.

First Bath

Max is a week and one day old. Today Max had his first real bath and let me say that he loved it so much. He just laid in the warm water just looking around. He even started to fall a sleep in the water. It was so much fun to watch him and I am so glad that he liked the water because living in Arizona we will probably be spending lots of time in the pool during the summer.

My mom is really proud of herself that she took these pictures of Max. She couldn't believe how well they turned out and she was the one that took them. She has been bugging me to post them ever since I got home from the hospital, so here they are.

Max Ronald Veirs

Max Ronald Veirs was born on Saturday, January 10th at 6:06pm. He was 8 pounds 20 inches long. He is the cutest little baby ever and I still can't believe that he is finally here. Max is doing very well. He didn't have any real problems when he was born. All the nurses at the hospital were very impressed on how chill he was.

Everything with the delivery went perfectly. I am so glad that I decided to get an epidural because I was actually able to enjoy the delivery. The whole process was just amazing and I am glad that I got to experience everything that I did. My midwife was amazing and I want her to deliver all my children. She did such a great job and she did everything that she could to make sure that I enjoyed the process. After Max came out, they put him on my chest immediately and that was the best moment of my life. I finally got to hold my child for the very first time. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him.

Paul and I want to tell everyone thank you for all the wonderful calls that we have received and just wanted to let everyone know that we are all doing perfect and we are just enjoying being parents. Here are some pictures of Max, but if you want to see more click on the photo gallery link that is on the right.

Christmas Time

This year for Christmas, Paul and I spent Christmas at home in Arizona because of me being 38 weeks pregnant and all. We did have my mom come out and spend Christmas with us and that is a lot of fun. Here are some things we did before Christmas.

Getting ready to decorate a gingerbread house.
Every year we always decorate cookies. This year was funny because my mom was trying something different with the frosting, but it didn't really work out. She would decorate a cookie and it didn't turn out right, so she would scrape the frosting off the cookie and start all over again. She probably did this to at least 10 cookies. It was funny to watch her.Everyone needs to go to the Mesa, Arizona Temple lights during Christmas. These light were amazing. We went on Christmas Eve and I have never seen so many people at the temple before. So if you are ever in Arizona during Christmas, you need to go see the Mesa Temple Lights. Here are some pictures, but the pictures don't show just how amazing it was.
