Honduras- The Ruins

This was a very interesting day trip.  It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there which would have been fine because my kids usually do well in the car.  The only problem was that the last hour was very windy, so both kids throw up.  It was actually Chloe's first time getting sick, so it totally freaked her out.  We had to pull over clean the car seats, change them and clean the car.  Then after they got sick they were just not their normal selves.  They didn't feel like do anything until they were able to run around and play in the dirt.  Then the heat got to them and they were tired, but we still were able to see everything we wanted to see with Paul carrying one and I carrying the other.

Every night the kids would play with their Leap Pads and fall asleep watching some kind of show.  I really don't know what we would have done without them,  This is what they played with on the airplane for most of the time.

Honduras- Animal Zoo

One of Max's favorite part about the trip is when we went to alligator farm.  Here we were able to see lots of alligators, lions, jaguar, birds, and some other animals.  It was the first time and probably the last time that we will ever be so close to a lion, jaguar, and alligators.  It was very cool to be that close, but I will amit that I was a little scared at the same time.

This pond was filled with Alligators just swimming around

Honduras Part 1

About a week ago, we got back from a week long trip to Honduras.  Right now Paul's parents are mission presidents in the San Pedro Sula Mission.  It was so good to see them and spend time with them.  They have been gone for almost 2 years.  Paul's dad had never met Chloe before except seeing her on Skype.  The kids had so much fun spending time with their Grandparents.  Max kept calling Grandpa, "Papa" and he still does it and I don't know where he got it from.
Every day while we were there, we did something fun.  The first day we were there, we went to see the waterfall.  It was so pretty and so green.

The kids fell asleep on the way there so they were not too happy when we first got there.

We went down to get closer to the waterfall where you can get a little wet.  Max loved getting a little wet, but Chloe didn't.  The only problem going to that spot is that on the way back you had to hike up and it was stairs the whole way.  Paul would carry Max and I would carry Chloe until Chloe decided to try to climb up these big stairs by herself. Every single time she would climb up a stair she would make a grunting sound because it took all her strength to pull herself up.

There was a spot that the kids could have gone swimming, but instead they throw rocks in the water which they could have done for hours.

We ended the day at the pool.  I think we ended each day by going swimming at the pool.  It was so nice that they had a pool where they lived.  It was so refreshing to go in it every day especially after sweating all day.  Even though it was in the 90s and humid, it did feel so good to sweat and feel hot.  We havn't felt hot in a long time, so it was nice.

Bab's visit

For my mom's Easter break, she decided to make a trip up here for a little visit.  We were able to celebrate Easter together and some fun thins.  We went to the zoo, had a picnic at the beach, went shopping and played at the park.  Max and Chloe had lots of fun playing with Babs.

I love how all kids love the swing.  I had to take pictures of Chloe because she was so happy to be in the swing.

We went to U of W to have lunch with Kim and Mira.  After lunch we walked around and saw the famous cherry trees that they have.  Everyone was taking pictures by these trees.  They were just so pretty.

Easter Day

On Easter Sunday, we went to church and then headed to Heidi's house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner.  Because we have church in the afternoon, Chloe always misses her nap, but on the way to my sisters house she fell alseep.  I woke her up, so we could do the Easter egg hunt before it got cloudy and cold, but I had to take a picture of her asleep.  She is just so cute.

The kids had so much fun doing the Easter egg hunt.  They found lots of eggs and other goodies.

Mira's first Easter!

Once again, I tried to get a picture of my kids together, but these are the best that I got.  One of  these I will get a picture of them together and smiling.

Hope everyone had a great Easter even though it was a couple of weeks ago.

Easter at the Church

The second thing we did to celebrate Easter was to have an Easter egg hunt with our friends.  Because we live in a place that rains all the time, we had the egg hunt at the church.  We hid Easter eggs in 2 different rooms, so the younger kids went to one room and the older kids went to the other room.  Of course the kids had so much fun and was able to eat lots of candy.

So about 3 weeks ago, Chloe fell out of crib.  She was crying like crazy, but the next day she was playing like normal.  Then a couple of days later, Paul notice that when he rubbed her wrist she would cry.  So I took Chloe to the doctors and found out the she fractured her wrist.  The docoter wanted me to put a cast on it, but the docoter at the hospital told me just to keep the brace on.  So for about 3 weeks she wore a brace on her right arm.

Pre-Easter Celebration

We did a couple of things this year to celebrate Easter.  We first started out celebrating at my dad's house the week before.  The kids got to decorate Easter eggs which Chloe loved to do.  My kids colored all 12 eggs in about 2 minutes.  After coloring we had an Easter egg hunt and then some lunch.  It was a perfect day.

I love this picture of Mira.
